The weather warms up enough to finally give us some snow, a lynx* crosses the upper marsh, a north-bound driver hit the rail and wound up pointed south-bound

A couple of nights ago, the cold snap broke, the weather warmed up enough to snow and sure enough it did. Not much snow fell...

But enough to allow a lynx* to leave its tracks on the upper marsh...

...and for a driver in the north-bound lanes of the Parks Highway to lose control, spin around, hit the guardrail and wind up pointed south bound. It appeared he then got out of his car to call someone.

Shortly thereafter, about five emergency vehicles - police cars, an ambulance and this fire truck came zipping past in the south bound lanes. Maybe someone got into a worse accident somewhere behind me. Someone must have been badly hurt - but I hope not too badly.

This was today, as I drove home after dropping Margie off in Anchorage to babysit Lynx.

Now that I have mentioned Margie and Lynx, I suppose I had better add a picture of them. Lynx was asleep when we arrived, but soon woke up. His face was dirty. What was on it? I don't know - snot, maybe? Snot that dripped out and dried while he slept? Lots of colds, flu and other stuff going around right now.

*Thank you, Aul, for correcting me!
