Logbook: Wasilla to Barrow, entry 2: I was not last to board

As noted in the previous entry, I arrived at Ted Stevens International Airport a little behind schedule, thanks to the icy highway. I was not the last to board but pretty close to it. I would still have had plenty of time to complete this Instagram and transfer both it and the previous one to my blog, plus take a new picture of happenings in the plane as we awaited departure and to post it as well, but of course there were many familiar faces onboard. I got involved in visiting and now we are in the sky. I will not be able to post this until sometime after we arrive in Barrow. I thought I would wait for my afternoon coffee until I got on the plane. The Stewardess just informed me there is no hot water, hence no coffee.

Text added at 8:46. The Squarespace nightmare continues - day 51 and counting.

Logbook: Wasilla to Nuiqsut, ultimate goal Cross Island, entry 4: Delay:

We still sit on the ground in Anchorage. They say 10 to 15 minute delay, but I'm pretty sure it's already been that. I only have 40 minutes from landing in Deadhorse to my Era flight to Nuiqsut, so I hope they make that time up somewhere.

Logbook: Wasilla to Nuiqsut, ultimate goal Cross Island, entry 3: The face of an old friend

Alaska Airlines, Ted Stevens International Airport. Hello old friend, I've come to fly with you again. Wish I were flying myself, but until I find the means to get another plane, you will have to do.

Logbook: Nuiqsut to Wasilla, via Barrow and Anchorage, entry 5: The kiss I did not get

I activated my phone and called Margie immediately after the wheels hit the tarmac at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage. She was still at the "blue house" where she had been babysitting grandkids. She arrived to pick me up right after I secured my luggage and stepped out the door. "You won't want to kiss me," she said, "I'm coming down with a bad cold." I did want to kiss her. I very much wanted to kiss her. But I didn't want to get the cold. I didn't kiss her. I'll probably get the cold anyway. I might as well have kissed her. Life is so full of missed kisses. I hate to have missed another one.

Logbook entry: leaving Anaktuvuk Pass, enroute to Wasilla - I missed the beautiful smile, but I did get the hand at the controls

Just south of the village, we flew over this little creek gulch where the
