Little hands at home; some kind of flashing red-light emergency at Sear's

New Years day began dim, gray, dreary and gloomy; the trains came out, old pictures tumbled from a folder, the day turned light and warm

Toddler comes to Christmas tree and there lets his light so shine

Christmas began in chaos and exhaustion for Margie and me. It was a day that felt impossible to salvage. Yet, we perservered and somehow, it all came together wonderfully in gift giving, feast and the expression of love among family. In the past 40 hours, I have had about 45 minutes sleep and so late tonight, I quickly pulled together 9 images for this post, planning to rush through them to try to communicate a tiny bit of the day..

But I am too damn tired to post them all and write about them, so I will post just the first one. We had a big gathering at the Christmas tree this evening and Lynx was the first to gather there.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." So said the man whose birthday we celebrated today, as quoted in Matthew 5:16.

Today, beneath the tree, Lynx let his light so shine. We saw good works, right there in his forehead. If a great little fellow like this does not glorify the "Father which is in heaven," then nothing does.
