Lynx goes for doors and throws rocks into the Little Su
Having started this little Instagram experiment with a photo of my grandson, Lynx, and considering the fact he is here with us through the weekend, I figure I might as well stick with him while he is here. Lynx loves to open and go through any door. The lock on this door is broken, so Margie tied it shut. It leads to the garage and from there into my office.
I took Lynx on a drive. We went to the post office, then to the gas station, we went to the bakery and bought two raspberry pinwheels. Then we went to the Little Su river where Lynx threw rocks into the water.
After Lynx played around at the riverbank for a while, he walked back up to the car. He reached for the door handle, because as I say, if Lynx sees a door he wants to go through it. I let him in. I lifted him up and put him in his car seat and started to buckle him in. He got upset, he started to fuss and cry. He pulled hard against the seatbelt as I snapped it shut. So I undid it. I let him out of the car and he ran back down to the river. He played for a few more minutes. Then he led me back to the car and I again opened the door, he climbed in and up into his seat, I buckled him in. He was happy. We drove off for home.
When it came time to go get coffee I left Lynx home. When I arrived at Metro Café, barista Kristina greeted me at the window. That's Kristina on the right, for those of you who don't know. A couple of months back, she took a break from working at Metro so she could go work in her field of physical therapy. Her sister, Evalina came to fill in for her. That's Evalina to the left. She is 18 and closing in on her pilot's license. Kristina missed all the fun she had at Metro Café, and so she kept coming back to work, anyway. Given the situation, Carmen needed more help and so Evalina kept working, too. Today, their 16 year old sister, Dana, came to visit. That's her in the middle. I figured I had better get a picture of all three of them. They have another sister, who is 13. They told me her name, but I forgot.
It is the weekend, but I still have a lot of work I have to do before Monday. Yet, to be honest, so far today, Saturday, I have pretty much just goofed off. But now I have to work. I just sat down at my computer. Naturally, my good black cat, Jim Slim Many Toes, more commonly called Jimmy, or Jim, has come to join me and has taken up his usual spot – right between my keyboard and my monitor. How would I ever get anything done without him?

I can't believe how big Lynx is! Seems like yesterday he was strapped to the cradle board(?).
I'm liking this instagram experiment!
Me too! I like this experiment a LOT!
