The daily moose - twice: the bull is about to grow some big ones

Well, I have been neglecting the daily moose. So here he is. Actually, this is yesterday's daily moose, but I didn't put him up in my last post because I put my grandboys playing in the puddles instead.

As you can see, he is a bull ready to grow new antlers. I can't really say how big those antlers will be, but he was a pretty big bull and that's why I speculate they will be big ones.

If you wonder how big this moose really is, well, I walked underneath him and the top hairs of my head barely brushed the underfur of his belly.

That's how big he was.

I wouldn't lie about such a thing.

I might exaggerate by a couple of feet, but I wouldn't lie.

I didn't exaggerate this time, though. I really did walk underneath him. And when my hair brushed his underfur, I got a shock. He got shocked, too, and this caused him to jump up in the air. He came down right on top of me and then he got so angry he stomped me right into the ground, which is still frozen. I got frostbite on my ears, nose and toes.

I put some honey and baking soda on the frostbite and its all okay now.

I'm not speaking bull, either. That's just how it happened.

This was today's daily moose and it had me a bit worried. As soon as it saw me it started walking on a path that would intersect mine. I was looking all around to see if I was standing between it and a calf, but I could not find a calf.

There wasn't a calf. The moose just wanted to eat some branches on the other side of the street.

As to that other post from Saturday night, I decided to bag it.

It was my first bicycle ride of the season.

I biked again tonight, but not very far because my leg muscles hurt.

It's just after midnight, so I guess this is actually yesterday's moose, after all.

I'm going to time this post to appear at 7:22, so as to give the grandboys wading in puddles a full 24 hours before I replace it with these moose.

I would hate for any of their fans to miss them playing in the puddles.

After this, I'll once again start posting at the time I make the post.

...Well, I did indeed set this to post at 7:22 AM this morning, but it did not post. I assumed it had, so I just went about my business as normal. I just now discovered it had not posted. Squarespace, my blog host, is like that. With Squarespace, anything can happen - or not happen.

Anyway, here it is, three hours later.
