As I worked on the post I did not post, a little boy burst through the door looking for a train
I am back in Wasilla now. I had just prepared eight photos speaking of the transition from Barrow to here to post when my office door flung open and Kalib burst in, looking for a train. If you look closely to the lower left of this picture, you will see he found one. Jobe found the cat, Jim. Lynxton is still looking for something.
The post I was making was based on the theme that when I left Barrow to come back to Wasilla, I had left home to return home - the home I left being my communal, spiritual, home, the home I returned to being the home of my house and blood family, which is also a spiritual thing, but in a community where without them I basically walk alone - with some exceptions, based on relationships founded almost entirely on coffee and dining.
It would take me awhile to post those pictures and elaborate on that theme and the fact is, people have begun to gather here so we can celebrate Jobe's third birthday, which actually took place February 12 - the first day of Kivgiq, but his mom got very sick and came down with pneumonia, so the celebration was put off until now.
Rather than posting those eight pictures and elaborating, I will go back into the living room where I just took these two pictures and visit my family as we celebrate Jobe's presence on this earth.
This is not Jobe, should anyone be confused. This is Lynxton - and Jim and Margie.

I've watch Kalib grow up on your blog, and now Lynxton, so I'm not about to be confused - but they sure as anything will have some fun in the future confusing other people.
