The little dog and the man who rescued me

I heard someone shouting at the dog, ordering it to go back. But the dog did not go back – it was determined to take my leg off. Then this man came running out and grabbed the dog. He said something about how he tried to keep it home, but, "the little rodent" just wouldn't be stopped. Actually, the little dog was nice enough. I exaggerated about its ferociousness a little bit.
