On my walk I meet two puppies - when will I ever learn? Abby's ranks number one in Wasilla on Urban Spoon; airplane

On my morning walk today I met two puppies, tagging along with a young man pushing a bicycle. He couldn't ride it, because then the puppies could not have kept up with him. The puppies had real good names - so good I was certain I would not forget. See... there was a time when names that good would have stayed with me for months.

I took the picture with my iPhone. It would have been the simplest thing for me then to have opened up notes, turned on voice recognition, spoke those two names into it and then they would have automatically been written down in notes. Simple! But, thinking I am just as smart and clever and sharp as I was when I was younger, I was certain I would not forget.

When will I ever learn?

Hey - I bet at least a few of you read the headline and thought maybe I brought one or more of these puppies home.

Not long after Abby opened on July 4, 2011, I came by and found her unhappy. Someone who signed in as Christine had left a review on Urban Spoon. Given my experience at Abby's, I must conclude Christine's tastebuds had failed her. Christine did not write nice things.

Today, Abby told me people keep coming in from all over, some driving all the way out from Anchorage, just to try her cuisine.

Why?

Because Abby's home cooking now has THE HIGHEST URBAN SPOON RATING of any restaurant in Wasilla. Here is a sample:

"Best food in the valley. That homemade bread is unbelievable. Everything made to order and oh so fresh. But even better than the food is Abby and her staff. Friendliest bunch you ever will meet. This woman can cook and you are in for good food here."

I am really proud. For those of you who may not know, when she opened July 4 of last year, Margie, Kalib, Jobe and I were her very first customers.

I knew she was going to be a hit!

Here are all her Urban Spoon reviews.

As I walked at the top of the Wards Road hill, this airplane flew overhead.
