Home again, might be quiet for awhile

Here is Margie, going up ahead to get the car so she can pick me up at that door. A lady is pushing me in a wheelchair. I am going home again.

The doctor, the nurses, the nurses staff, they all expressed great approval for how I am doing. Part of it is I am supposed to walk and I guess I walk more than most patients who are supposed to walk.

I don't care if it hurts, they say walking is the biggest thing that will help me get better, so I walk. Not very far to be honest, but a pretty good distance for a man who has just had his got cut out.
This time, we have set me up in the guestroom. It really is better in there. You can close the guestroom door and latchet so it doesn't just come open. You can't do that to the bedroom door.
As much as I like the cats, I can't have them jumping on me at any hour of the night.

Jimmy had breakfast with me.

I walked from the house to Seldon and back, probably a total of 400 yards. I use one of Rex's old hockey sticks as a walking stick.

I want to write up in detail the amazing experience I have just been through. But it would take some time, I would have to give it some hard thought and I don't have the energy right now. In fact, don't be surprised if I don't blog anymore for a day or two or three or very little.

I just want to concentrate on those things I must do to get well and on my rest. But then, you never know, I just might get a feeling to blog and so blog anyway.

Glad to hear you're back home. Focus on healing, post if it makes you feel better, but not if it takes away from your recovery - we'll be here whenever you check in. Walking is good, it's what we've always referred to in my family as "gravity action' when it comes to digestion :) Take care!

Whichever. We can wait. We just want you up and about and more like your old self. The words "emergency surgery" are kind of scary! You rest and recuperate at your own rate.

Nothing like a purring ball of fur to make you feel better.

May each day be better than the last until, in a very short time, you feel even better than you did BEFORE the surgery. I'm glad you're back home with Margie and your four-legged, furry, feline support system. It's good that you have the guest room now and can control access to your feline visitors. Hang in there, and know that we -- your blogging public, friends and family -- hope that you heal soon, and well.

So glad you're back home in a comfy room. Glad to see you up and walking around again. Take your time, relax, walk and heal. We'll be here when you're ready. Lots of love and non-squishy hugs to you and the rest of the family!

Even when I don't comment, please know that I'm thinking of you and sending you all my positive thoughts & prayers for your recovery. Blog if you will, don't blog as you choose, and know that we're all here for you. Bits & Sammy (my kitty kids) also send their best kitty kisses for you in hopes that they, too, can help speed your healing.

Quiet is good. Glad you're home!

After reading your recent posts, will double down on those happy, healing thoughts I'm sending your way.
Um, looking for a bright side..... as painful and frustrating as its been, its good? it happened so fast. I've had 2 friends in recent years, who after abdominal surgeries went home only to discover a problem had been slowly biding its time, flaring up more than a month later. For each of them, it was like repeating their intial experience all over again. Argh.
May the comforts of home surround you, engulf you, and provide you the opportunity to heal to your highest and best.

Bill, take two cats and call the doctor in the morning.

Seriously, take it easy. We'll be here when you get back.

Bill.. you please take care and rest or walk or do what is required to get better!

Left you a note on burn, but will do here too.. am home after my globetrotting and found your prints waiting for me! There is NOTHING better than a print, and especially if the picture is as good as yours.. the one up there in the top right corner.. if anyone reading here has been thinking about getting one and has not done so far.. well.. they should.. it is just great! Thank you!

Hope you are recovering well. Take it easy and let us know how your are when you are ready.
