Christmas tree decorator comes with a spotlight shining out of his head

How come Charlie's eyes are lit so dramatically, almost like there is a spotlight shining on them?

Because there is! A spotlight shining right out of Jobe's forehead!

Jobe came to the house with the spotlight shining out of his head because he knew he was going to help decorate the tree and he wanted to be able to see what he was doing. If he had not had the light, Melanie could probably not even have seen the tree and then she could not have lifted Jobe up to place this decoration.

It would have been really bad.

Fortunately, Jobe came with the light.

Down on the floor to the left is Kalib, Lisa to the right. They are decorating, too, but they don't have Jobe's spotlight and so they are mistakenly decorating the cats instead of the tree.

Jobe lit the way as Kalib approached the tree with a tri-plane decoration.

I love tri-planes. I wish someone would give a real one to me for Christmas.

I am not sure how Kalib and Charlie managed to hang this star decoration without Jobe's light. No one knows how they did it, but somehow, they did.

And Lisa managed to hang a giraffe decoration, in honor of the eight giraffes that pull Santa's sleigh around the world every Christmas.

A lot of people think Santa's sleigh is pulled by reindeer, but they are wrong. I visited the North Pole once and I did not see a single reindeer, but I did see giraffes.  There were giraffes all over the place.

Margie got this tree from somewhere in our yard. She loves Charlie Brown trees. I suppose she could have ventured a little deeper into the trees, but there is a lot of snow and its really cold.

Once decorated, this was a tree to behold.

We beheld it.

Then we ate cookies.

Then Melanie, Charlie, Kalib and Jobe drove off into the night, which out here I estimate to be about 20 below (-29 C). Not near as cold as Fairbanks at -54, but cold enough.

I love your winter pictures when it is so dark and mysterious looking outside, when the lights cast a golden glow over everything. I also love your little Charlie Brown Christmas trees. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
