Stop! Shots from my noon-day walk, including four wheeler art, ice bubbles, momma moose; cat looks out the wrong window
In my last post, put up late Friday night, I stated I would likely not post again until Sunday night and then I would take you grocery shopping with Jobe and Kalib. But I just got back from my noon walk, am feeling lazy and undisiciplined, so I decided to share it with you. Also, when I put up the "Help Sujitha get to Kenya" button Friday night, I did not realize I had made a mistake.
The button tested active for me, but what I did not realize is that it was not working on any other site and was only working on mine when I was logged into Paypal. I fixed that problem and the button now works as it is supposed to, so if anyone tried and gave up, please come back and try again.
I did not stop at the stop sign, but continued on and shortly thereafter stepped onto the ice of the upper marsh - not the marsh behind our house, but the one atop the rise above it. Someone had driven over the ice on their four-wheeler.
Prior to this moment, I did not understand that four-wheelers could be used as tools to create art, as surely as a paintbrush can.
Bubbles released from below.
Now I am in the lower marsh, the one directly behind our house. Just ahead, the trail to our house that I made long ago branches off to the right. It is just beyond the momma moose, maybe two feet - maybe just a foot.
I know better than to ever knowingly step between a momma moose and her calf, so I cut through the bushes and took the off-trail route to the house, less than 100 yards away.
Inside the house, I found Jimmy standing at the front window, looking out, watching for me, waiting for me to come home.
Silly cat! I came in the back door, not the front.
I will still post the grocery shopping trip. Trouble is, I took Kalib and Jobe to breakfast at Abby's and I need to post that, too. I suppose I could combine them into one post, but it seems to me both events deserve a post of their own.
And I am getting closer to posting my Barrow fall whaling story, but it will still take a few days yet before I can complete it.

Hey Frostfrog. Enjoying your blog as always. Just want to pass on how much more I enjoy the photos now that you seem to be using your dslr rather than your point and shoot.
Thanks, all.
Gordon - I'm glad I have the strength now to carry my dslr just about everywhere I go.
Beautiful~!!
